Key characteristics
- SIM7600G integration with multiband LTE-FDD, LTE-TDD, HSPA+ and GSM/GPRS/EDGE support.
- USB interface to the host equipment for simpler integration, drivers and maintenance.
- Ready for telemetry, remote diagnostics, updates and connected equipment deployments.

About the client
The client needed cellular connectivity for a family of modular devices. The integration had to stay simple for the main equipment while remaining flexible enough to scale across different deployments and markets.
The solution could not require a full redesign every time the host equipment changed. The goal was to build a compact, reusable communications block that could be integrated into several product variants.
Challenge
The equipment needed mobile network access for telemetry, remote maintenance and field operation. Directly integrating cellular connectivity into each platform would have added mechanical, electrical and validation complexity.
The project had to solve several needs at once:
- Multiband cellular coverage for deployment in different regions.
- A simple interface with the host equipment.
- Compact electronics for modular architectures.
- A technical foundation for future product evolution.
Proposed solution
Pleeda designed a dedicated modem PCB around the SIM7600G module, using it as the communications core and building the required power, protections, connectivity and integration criteria around it.
The hardware architecture allowed the host equipment to treat the modem as a clear subsystem:
- USB as the main interface with the modular device.
- Power design sized for transmission peaks and real network conditions.
- Signal-integrity and electrical-robustness criteria suitable for continuous RF operation.
Technical result
The result was a cleaner and reusable connectivity platform:
- Faster modem integration across different equipment.
- Less redesign effort by reusing the same communications base.
- Better readiness for international deployments.
- A valid foundation for telemetry, remote maintenance, diagnostics and connected services.
The value was not only adding connectivity, but making it a modular and repeatable block in the overall product architecture.
